exploring from the net
To go with the topic, the class used the smartphones. All the phones were connected to the internet. The class was divided into six groups of four members. Each group was provided with a smart phone. We discussed on protection of forest which was taught in previous class and to make connection to what they will learn next i gave a set of questions each in group which i prepared earlier. The teaching was focused on student centered learning whereby students are instructed to explore from the net.
sharing and clearing doubts on group chat( class v)
With world of smart phones, even infants know how to use it. But rules and regulation doesn't allow our students to use phones in the school. After seeking permission from the administrator and parents I created a class group chat. Children are already familiar with that and it is very easy for me to create the group chat. Whatever we do in math class I make them share in group in turn ( roll number wise), some throw their doubts and some clear the doubt.I just monitor them and guide. They learn and get more practice. I don't know whether discussing in chat is a part of ICT or not, I am just sharing my thought la.

On 16th September I gave my students to
design some posters about the preservation of the forest, social studies class IV.
So,
I borrowed smart phones from my colleagues and gave them in group. They were
immensely excited and interested to carry out the assigned activity. They went
outside, sat in group and start to browse in Google. The students designed
beautiful and informative posters. We had a fruitful session and further I will
do the same in the future.
The use of internet is the easiest and the fruitful source
to look for what we need. On top of that it is very important to encourage the
students to use the net to browse the information, instead of games.

Using smart phones to do the maths activities
On September 19th i asked my class V students to open the link that i have shared. They opened and looked interestingly. From there they have learned how to draw isometric on the dot papers. After that I have provided dot papers each and asked them to draw the isometric of the given figure in their book. They drew correctly within few minutes. So browsing smart they can do the activities easily. Ict makes everyone's work easier.

Using laptop to conduct class test
I am teaching social studies to class IV A, and there are 20 students in my class.
At the end of each topic i conduct class test giving the competency based qiestions(bcsea) to check how much they have learned and familiarize the different types of questions. Usually i write the questions on the board and let them copy.
Now i am using my laptop to give them the questions it really saves the time. I even taught them how to browse the questions using their smartphones.
Using ict facilities teachers saves their time and energy but the learners enthusiastically learn more.

Use of YOU TUBE really helped me to
plan a perfect lesson, easy to explore and explain. This is a positive way of
growing up and developing our knowledge in planning and preparing our lesson.
Planning in groups is not to find faults but it helps in adding the ideas and
refining our lesson for the betterment of our teaching.

On 20th August I took my class V students
through EXPLORING perimeter and area of rectangles. They had little knowledge
on the topic but it was quite vague for them, as they have learnt only the
basic in class IV. I could see a lot of enthusiasm in learning this topic as I
made them use the smart phones each in a group. When the students were
given the mobiles to watch how to find the area and perimeter I found them so
much excited and their learning good while solving the questions.

The objectives of the lesson were
to identify the relationship between area and perimeter, find the area
and perimeter and draw rules for finding area and perimeter.
